Vintage TCJI 14K Gold Garnet & Diamond Floral Ring | Town & Country Jewelry
A beautifully designed vintage ring featuring four richly colored oval garnets arranged in a delicate floral cluster, accented by a small round diamond at the center.
Crafted in 14K yellow gold, the four garnets form the petals of an open floral motif, with the tiny diamond providing a subtle point of sparkle at the center. The oval garnet gemstones measure 6 x 3mm each, and the diamond measures 1.5mm in diameter.
The openwork gallery beneath the stones allows light to pass through the design, adding dimension while keeping the ring surprisingly light and graceful.
The garnets display an attractive deep purplish-red color, with a noticeable purple secondary hue that becomes particularly appealing under different lighting.
A Vintage American Jewelry Connection
The inside of the shank is stamped:14K TCJI. The maker's mark is associated with Town & Country Jewelry / C. William Carey, a mid-century American jewelry manufacturer. The trademark was registered for rings in the early 1960s, making the mark consistent with the ring's vintage character.
The ring is accompanied by an original S.O. Hawkes & Son Jewelers / American Gem Society (AGS) presentation box. S.O. Hawkes & Son was a longstanding Yakima, Washington jewelry firm, and the original jeweler's box provides an especially nice piece of provenance for this vintage ring.
Condition
Very good vintage condition, with normal minor signs of age and wear. The 14K gold remains bright and attractive, and the floral setting is intact. #90
